Shamballah means peace on Earth or Heaven on Earth. What does
Shamballah look like for you? We
will co-create this together as Gods and Goddesses who know who we are. Because we know who we are we will love
ourselves and through that we will love other beings too. Our vision for Shamballah includes
peace for all sentient beings. The
Galactic Beings have shared their wisdom with us about the optimal diet. Our Space Brothers and Sisters
recommend a diet of foods that are as close to living as possible, plant foods
are ideal, and closer to raw and unprocessed is ideal. The higher the vibration
of the foods we consume, the higher our own vibration will be.
The environment
It is good to be aware that the law of
karma is still in effect with what we choose to buy and consume. When we are talking about meat we are
karmically responsible for the negative ripples that come from participating in
a sentient beings’ quality of life and also state it was in when it was
killed. These fear hormones are in
the meat and when we ingest them it will affect our vibration. Paying someone else to do this for you
does not take the responsibility away.
Adopting a plant-based diet is the single biggest physical
action we can take to eliminate many world problems: environmental destruction,
chronic diseases, and food insecurity. Let’s talk about how.
The environment
A person who follows a plant-based diet produces 50% less
CO2, and uses 1/11th the oil, 1/13th the water, and 1/18th land compared with a
meat eater. The Amazon rainforest is often called the “Lungs of the
World.” And yet, 1-2 acres of
rainforest are being cleared every second! Animal agriculture is responsible for up to 91% of the
destruction of the Amazon rainforest.
In Plato’s Republic, Socrates is quoted, “If we pursue
our habit of eating animals, and if our neighbor follows a similar path, will
we not have need to go to war against our neighbor to secure greater pasturage,
because ours will not be enough to sustain us, and our neighbor will have a
similar need to wage war on us for the same reason?” We can prevent wars
and move towards Shamballah by eating a plant-based diet that helps preserve
resources for all humans and the other beings we share this planet with.
Food security
About a billion people on our planet are currently suffering
from hunger. However, we are currently growing enough food to feed 10 billion
people! In 2013, scientists from
the Institute on the Environment and the University of Minnesota published a
study examining agricultural resources (including meat, dairy, and egg
production) and the dilemma of world hunger. The scientists reached the
conclusion that if all food crops were fed directly to humans instead of
animals, around 70% more food would be added to the world’s supply, which would
be enough to feed 3 billion additional people.
Diet and disease
Diet and disease
The China Study by Dr. T. Colin Campbell is the most
exhaustive study of nutrition that’s been conducted to date. It was the
culmination of a 20-year partnership of Cornell University, Oxford University
and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine.
The conclusions are startling when looked at in contrast
with modern medicine. Dr. Campbell proves the direct link between diet and
heart disease, cancer, and diabetes: the top three chronic diseases in most
countries. Furthermore, he proves
that these diseases can be prevented and treated with a whole food plant-based
diet: one rich with unprocessed plant foods and no oil: fruits, vegetables,
legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

Why vegetarian isn’t enough

Resources
This study is far from isolated. Since the 1960’s there has
been mounting evidence that a diet high in animal products, and therefore high
in saturated fat and cholesterol, is the biggest contributor to most chronic
diseases. The research shows
something that the pharmaceutical and animal agriculture industries don’t want
you to know! Heart disease, type 2
diabetes, and even several forms of cancer, can almost always be prevented—and
in many cases reversed—by adopting a whole-food, plant-based diet!
Drugs and chemicals
80% of the antibiotics used in the United States are fed to
farmed animals, not humans. They
are not fed to animals to treat illness, though in tightly cramped confined
quarters, they are often diseased and sick. The animal agriculture industry feeds large doses of
antibiotics to farmed animals to maximize profits. Animals on antibiotics grow bigger and faster. Our growing epidemic of antibiotic
resistance is largely due to the amount of antibiotics people consume on a
daily basis as a result of eating animal products.
Pesticide residues are found in meat and animal byproducts,
including, disturbingly, long-banned pesticides like DDT. These pesticides
mostly come from the food that animals eat and end up getting stored in their
fat, accumulating over time. The
Environmental Working Group estimates that a whopping 167 million pounds of
pesticides are used each year just to grow food for animals in the United
States.
Our fellow Earthlings
We want to believe that the animals raised for food are
treated well. We imagine them
grazing in green pastures, living a natural life on quaint family farms. But the harsh reality that the animal
agriculture industry works very hard to hide from the public is quite
different.
Family-run small farms are almost non-existent in
first-world countries, having been quietly replaced over the last several
decades by corporate conglomerates concerned only with profits. Green pastures have been replaced with
giant, windowless, filthy, industrial sheds filled with animals crammed in tiny
cages and crates. Most farmed animals never breathe fresh air or feel sunlight
- until they’re loaded onto trucks headed to the slaughterhouse.
Why vegetarian isn’t enough
Many well-meaning people turn to a vegetarian diet with the
intention of stopping animals from dying on their behalf. Unfortunately, with
modern day practices, dairy and egg industries also include killing. When a
mother cow gives birth to a baby, the baby is almost immediately taken away
from her. There are videos online showing mother cows crying for days after her
baby is stolen from her. The male babies of dairy cows are raised in tiny
crates and slaughtered around 4 months old to become veal. For chickens, the
males have no value to the egg industry. They are not the same breed of
chickens that are used for meat, so they are killed almost immediately after
hatching. Standard practice is to kill the male chicks by putting them into a
meat grinder.
You have the power
The great news is that more and more people are adopting a
plant-based diet. There's been a 600% increase in people identifying as vegans
in the U.S in the last three years! Therefore, the delicious options available to us are
dramatically increasing in quality and quantity. Even the largest meat
companies are getting on board. Tyson is one of the biggest investors in Beyond
Meat, the company that creates the plant-based burger that bleeds and is
outselling traditional ground beef in many supermarkets.
The problems of this world can feel overwhelming, and we can
often feel powerless to do anything about it. However, you are more powerful than you know. Every day you make choices on what to
eat. There is great power in choosing to help other sentient beings, make more
healthful choices, and choosing a diet that is kind to our planet. This is something
you can easily do on a daily basis to feel you are not part of the problem, but
part of the solution.
